TRANSMISSIONS
From an early /2 thru R1200 series and K bikes we are able to update and repair your transmission. We can check and rebuild your transmission, update internal components, and undercut gears in M series transmissions. We use only top quality NTN, Koyo, or Timken Bearings. We also solve known problems by modifying or changing a bearing or transmission case thus creating a reliable transmission. We offer a core exchange for some transmissions.
Don't be fooled by a cheap rebuild.

What exactly is undercutting the R1100 Transmission gears?
The transmission gears lock together with a series of "dogs' or "dogs and slots". Under use, the gears can begin to separate until the dogs become disengaged, this causes the transmission to jump out of gear. TTttttTypically third gear UndrU
Now notice in the photo the dogs that are in the circle. They both have angles cut on them where they meet. This causes them to lock together. They cannot separate without first backing up to unload the angles. This is an undercut.
Undercutting the 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th gear prevents the fork wear and gear slipping that plagues certain R1100 M series transmissions, typically third gear. A careful rebuild works well with gear undercutting.


TRANSMISSIONS FOR SALE
Rebuilt “better-than-new” M series BMW R1100 series transmissions.
M94 – M96 (1994-1996) We race cut the gears and dogs on both intermediate and output shafts to prevent slipping and achieve solid gear engagement, shift fork, new bearings as needed, new seals, re-shimmed correctly, O-ring for neutral switch, and re-sized clip for solid shift drum gear engagement .
Or
M97 (1997 – 2000) Race cut 2nd gear and dog, recut 5th gear, new shift fork, new bearings as needed on output shaft, new seals, re-shimmed correctly, O-ring for neutral switch, and ore-sized clip for solid shift drum gear engagement. Add $250 for oversize output bearing modification on output shaft. Allows for the installation of a tapered bearing to prevent gear/bearing wear.
From $1499 with core (Core is same model complete transmission).
Rebuilds, upgrades and repairs to /2, /5,1150 Series, and K Series. Prices upon request.
Final Drive
Final drives can be cleaned, resealed, rebuilt, splines rebuilt along with the wheel drive splines. /5 motorcycle splines are rebuilt to /6 standard which have a 30% better surface and last a very long time. We also recommend the JL Paralever bearing replacement kit for Paralever Final Drives.
Rebuilds, repairs and spline repair can be done. Prices $495 - $699 with JL Paralever Kit. We do a core exchange on some models - CALL!
Carburetors for all models including
Dellorto and throttle bodied K and R models are cleaned and rebuilt. We also can clean and rebuild fuel rails on K bikes with new fuel injectors. We use high quality rebuilt and cleaned-tested fuel injectors with new O ring seals ready to be installed on the motorcycle. From $150 to $425. Clean to Full rebuild with parts.
Engines dis-assembled, cleaned, repaired, rebuilt and re-assembled.

Wheels can be rebuilt for your BMW with new bearings, new internal "stack" and new drive splinen. From $125 - $425 for a full rebuild with spokes/bearings
Tanks can be cleaned, prepped and relined making them last a very long time. $190 - $250. We use top quality lining
